Awesomenauts Releasing Tomorrow Despite Publisher Issues

This weekend, we reported on the insolvency occurring at Awesomenauts publisher DTP Entertainment. Developer Ronimo Games was afraid that Awesomenauts might not make the release date of May 1 that was originally intended because of this — but as it turns out, the cards were in their favor.

Announced via the PlayStation Twitter feed this afternoon was the following confirmation that Awesomenauts will, in fact, be coming out on its target date:

“We can confirm that Awesomenauts will publish tomorrow on PSN in N. America and will be free for PS Plus subscribers.”

Whether the publishers issues were resolved or papa PlayStation came through to save the day (and the game) is a mystery, but we hope to find out more after the game launches. For now though, Awesomenauts-anticipating gamers can rest easy.
