Speculation: Skyrim DLC to Have Snow Elves and Crossbows

skyrim snow elf

A post on the Bethesda Forums speculates on what the forthcoming downloadable content for The Elder Scrolls VI V: Skyrim will include: snow elves, crossbows, and something to do with vampires feeding.

Enterprising forum poster, Karellan, delved into the patch 1.5.26 update files and discovered a bunch of files with names including words like “SnowElf,” “CrossBow,” “VampFeed,” and an as-yet unidentified “RF.”

THESE ARE EXCITING TIMES. Apparently Bethesda will be announcing more information about the DLC sometime next week.

What do you think “RF” means? You guys still Skyrimming it up out there?

RF might be the initials of the DLC/Quest line~?

just a guess, but i think “RF” is going to be a falmer follower. i read the lines of code, i guess that’s what they were, on the bethesda blog and they seem to list reactions to what you could say to them or things you do. the fact that snow elves are involved makes it obvious they’re gonna connect to the falmer in someway. my ultimate guess is that the snow elves are going to want revenge agaisnt the nords for taking Skyrim away from them, since the falmer are already all over skyrim and they were once snow elves they would make great allies for an attack. since the falmer seem to be mindless or just plain bloodthirsty killers the snowelves would need a certain way to turn them back into snow elves or give them their own mental capacity. if only to make them easier to deal with.
“RF” could be a snow elf, but elves usually don’t have two names, so “RF” might stand for reformed falmer or someting along the lines. idk i could be wrong, and when i tried to make a guess about lonesome road way long ago, i only got one small part right (your character bringing the device that destroyed the area0. but it just came to right when i finished reading it.

There. Not only have I fixed it, but I have highlighted the fact that I made an error. Also, I’m writing about it right here! How’s that for accountability?

Well considering Snow Elves are the Falmer I’m expecting some sort of quest revolving around them.

Maybe it’s a Dwemer / Falmer themed DLC pack?
“SnowElves” may be delving into the deep and dark past of out beloved Falmer and Dwemer, perhaps with the assistance of an Elder Scroll?
“CrossBow” may be the ability to harness the massive Dwarven crossbows to your advantage, and use them on a more regular basis, as a weapon maybe?
“VampireFeed” my also be the added ability to feed on Falmer / Snow Elf blood, and stuff like that?
“RF”.. hm.. that’s a tough one.. keeping on with the Dwemer theme, I’d wager that the R stands for “ruin” / “real”, and the F is probably “Falmer” that may give us a mission “Ruin Falmer” – ruin the Falmer, or investigate about the “Real Falmer” or the original ones, the Snow Elves.
But that’s just a random thought, although it could be pretty nice I think. I hope to hear more news about this.

Sounds reasonable, by the story of origin of Falmers….

took a break from skyrim to give the modders more time to make mods that makes skyrim the only game to play…once the dlc comes out I may dip back into it again just really don’t want to spend the rest of my life in skyrim which is what will happen if I get back into it :)…:(

Omg look u guys the dlc involves snow elves and the snow elves are in the game they are the falmer. the snow elf prince, we can see him in the quest for the thieves guild where u need to get the skeleton key, the statue of ikejdswhdnjiw something is the snow elf prince, if u go to the elder scrolls wiki and search dwemer they’ll say that they are a race of elves, dwemer stands for deep elves. think, when u enter blackreach there is a crossbow right infront of u, i think the hole dlc is based on the player discovering how the ancinet dwemer disappareand what happend to the snow elves after the ancient nords drove th3em out. and about the rf and vampire feeding i have no idea. thanks

the vamp feeding is part of the process of making vamps better because right now its a disease no one wants also there is also suppose to be a vampire lord you can change into that they were going to add
