Adam Sessler Leaves G4
Rumors broke by Kotaku this morning have since been confirmed by a statement from Adam Sessler’s representative. Despite the abrupt nature of this news, Adam Sessler will no longer work with G4 or co-host the gaming news show X-Play.
“Adam intends to stay in front of the camera and continue as a key voice within the games industry,” the statement reads. “He also sings and is available for weddings and bar mitzvahs.”
I’m going to take a second and say it’s really damn awesome what Sessler has done. We’re growing used to impermanence with Internet video, but X-Play / Gamespot TV has been on the air for more than a decade, with Sessler at the helm the whole time. Someone could’ve been born when that show started and be in junior high right now. Mind boggled.
We don’t know why Sessler departed the network, but current rumors state that it was based on a contract dispute, and that the part was not friendly. That said, gamers do love a good gossip, so I wouldn’t blow that too far out of proportion.
In closing, I’ll just leave this tweet from Destructoid’s Hamza Aziz right here.

I think Machinima should hire him…
