Awesomenauts the Next PlayStation Plus Game of the Month

If you’re a subscriber to Sony’s PlayStation Plus service, that means that you get a new free game every month. In May, the free game is Awesomenauts, which will cost us normals ten bucks when it comes out on May 1. It’s described by developer Ronimo Games as a “3 on 3 online platforming shooter…with bright 80s cartoon style,” which sounds pretty good to me.

Said Ronimo’s Jasper Koning:

“We’re thrilled to see that Sony liked the game so much that they made it game of the month. It’s great news for everybody, because it ensures there will be a great community of players to play against right from the start.”

May 1 also brings four other free downloadable games for PlayStation Plus subscribers, says the PlayStation Blog. In addition to Awesomenauts, subscribers will get Trine 2, Rock of Ages, and Castlevania Symphony of the Night and Castlevania Chronicles, the latter two being part of the PSone Classics line.

Man. I should probably just join this thing already.
