Not so Mysterious Countdown Clock appears on CallofDuty.com

Tweeted out late tonight was the simple phrase ‘Return for Debriefing’ from David Vonderhaar, Game Design Director at Treyarch. Combined with the phrase was a link to CallofDuty.com, where a countdown timer is already queuing up an announcement for May 1 about the team’s upcoming Call of Duty game.

While not much is known about what Call of Duty game Treyarch is going to announce, we do know that it’s coming out this year. In other news, grass is green and the skies are blue.

Also, it’s probably Black Ops 2. Why? I present to you the following pieces of evidence: specimen A, specimen B, and specimen C.

Don’t even get me started about specimen D, that one was obvious enough.

I’ll tell you what – if I’m wrong about the next Call of Duty game being a sequel to 2010’s Black Ops, then I’ll eat my shorts. You know what? So will Adam Kovic and Matt Dannevik, hosts of Inside Gaming Daily.

Hold them to it. It’s important that they keep promises I make for them.

See you on May 1 folks.

I’d pay to see that. Also since it mostly will happen, the sequel that is, someone needs to eat socks.

I just hope that for this game they listen to the people who are actually playing and don’t make choices that only give the most amount of money.
