Glitch Opens Diablo III Beta to All, then Blizzard Closes Beta to All

Earlier today, users of Reddit discovered that the Diablo III beta servers were suddenly open and available to all—regardless of whether or not they had a valid beta key.

“So if you don’t have a Diablo 3 beta game account on your main Battle.net page, you can log into the beta,” read the post. “Not entirely sure if this is a bug, or if they’ve opened up the beta for the last 13 days to stress test it once this spreads. If it’s not a bug, ENJOY!”

Probably was a bug; according to a post on Eurogamer, Blizzard reacted to the news swiftly and closed all of the game’s beta servers to prevent unauthorized beta testers. A Blizzard community poster wrote that the servers were suffering from “an issue”:

“The Diablo 3 beta is currently not available for play while we’re working to resolve an issue. We don’t have a current ETA for the beta to be back and running at the moment, but we plan to share an update with you.”

The beta servers are scheduled to be shut down entirely on May 1, and the official game is set for release on May 15—for serious this time!

All they’d need is 2 days to play it and become bored with it. I know it is a beta but it seems very underwhelming. It would be a good 20 buck steam game but a very overpriced $60 game.

I think is a further sign Bliss is coasting on a once great company reputation but it is falling fast.

this is the last company from my youth, I wasn’t thrilled by the WOWification storywise of starcraft i’m fearful of what they might do to diablo 2 its concerning. After my faith was shattered with bioware I have few companies left that i’m willing to invest in….please don’t shorten that list.
