We found out yesterday that we’d see a Wii U version of the new Super Mario title at E3 this June, and now we know that Nintendo will be showing off its new Pikmin title for the forthcoming console as well. Nintendo has confirmed with Eurogamer that the HD Pikmin sequel will be on display for E3-goers. Said a Nintendo spokesperson:

“In a recent interview, [Shigeru] Miyamoto confirmed that a new Pikmin game will be shown at the E3 Expo in June. He believes that anyone who has played Pikmin games in the past will enjoy playing.”

As we’ve heard before, Miyamoto held off on developing the third installment in the franchise because he thought it would benefit from HD visuals.

Just a quick hint to Mr. Miyamoto and all of Nintendo: ALL GAMES BENEFIT FROM HD VISUALS. It makes them look less like ass on our giant, HD TVs that we all had to buy when everything else got all HD. God dammit.

Anyway, Pikmin! Who doesn’t love Pikmin? Also: I’ve never played Pikmin. SORRY. (Not really sorry.)
