Rumor: Crysis 3 Set in Jungle-fied New York City

Last week, EA leaked the box art and listing for their upcoming (and previously unannounced) first person shooter Crysis 3. Now, the first details about the game’s location have appeared online.

Mainly, the biggest news is that Crysis 3 will take place in New York City, but a heavily destroyed jungle version of its former self. This tidbit comes from Russian site Mad Fan Boy (and translated by CVG), who says the city is “almost a jungle”, combining the environments of the first two Crysis games.

Included with the post was a screenshot of a soldier in a nanosuit sporting the same compound bow originally spotted in the box art leak.

These details are unconfirmed at this point, but should be discussed tomorrow when EA makes their big announcement regarding the game.

Let’s just hope they don’t make any promises the Better Business Bureau wouldn’t agree with.

    I knew Crysis 3 would come sooner or later. Mainly because Crysis is a popular and good selling franchise and EA needs this kind of games to continue sitting in Jarl style on a huge pile of cash and gold. lol

    I never managed to get immersed in Crysis. I dunno why. Guess the big action, big guns, standard wrecked city just doesn’t appeal to me much.
