SPECULATION STATION: Sony Teases New God of War on Facebook?

god of war teaser

A post on Eurogamer points out a recently posted image on the official PlayStation Facebook page that they believe teases a new God of War title. Their evidence? Within the image’s full URL are the letters “gowa_fb,” which they believe stands for “God of War announcement Facebook.”

In addition, the image itself, which reads “Will vengeance bring redemption?” sure does sound like the kind of thing you’d be dealing with in a God of War game. The date at the bottom of the image points to next week, April 19, 2012, to be precise. Whatever the heck it is, we won’t have to wait long.

What say you? New God of War? Maybe a port for the Vita (remember the Vita?!)?

Am I also the only one who never got into God of War? I tried the first one for the PS2 and got stuck at some part with boxes or some shit being thrown at you…or maybe you had to hide behind boxes…

I was in grad school at the time, and therefore, terribly impatient when it came to video games. “I should be reading Bleak House, goddammit!” I would rage, as Kratos did not get past level one.

The moral of that story: Charles Dickens > Video games. Right? Come on, you know it’s true, dum-dums. Who doesn’t love a riveting tale of 19th century chancery court in Great Britain? Answer: NO ONE.

I’ve gotten off track. Sorry. I need a nap.

Well GoW3′s ending was pretty open-minded for a sequel so I wouldn’t put it behind them to make one.
