EA accidentally unveils Crysis 3 on Origin

You didn’t think Crysis 2 was the end of the series, did you? As it turns out, neither did Electronic Arts, who seems to have accidentally leaked the box art and details of Crysis 3 through its own proprietary PC gaming platform, Origin.

The box art and listings (which seem to showcase a dude with a freaking compound bow) appeared sometime in the last 24 hours, but as expected, have been promptly removed from the site. Then again, as Joystiq cleverly pointed out, the all-seeing eye of Google spares no one.

Though the captured image only shows the game for Xbox 360 and PC, it’s likely a safe bet that the game will arrive on the PlayStation 3 as well.

Finally though, after a little prodding by the folks at Polygon, it would appear that EA is actually prepping up to talk about Crysis 3:

“The best kept secret in shooters just can’t be contained. Stay tuned for more information on April 16.”

i cant wait i was a boss at the crysis 2 muitiplayer (2.67 kd at my peak and 2.12 wins to loss ratio) and i hope the muitiplayer is still awesome (whith alot less bugs)

  Sorry mate but I’ve played the Crysis 2 multiplayer for more 30h and the only bug I’ve came across is when one guy’s bullets went trough the wall and killed me.

  Ikr? It’s always shameful when you watch movies now after actually using a bow… I imagine it must be the same thing for snipers when they watch movies with people getting right-between-the eyes headshots while standing up from 6 miles away with something as powerful as a .50 cal.

Maybe they’ll reveal “The best kept secret about shooters” *Sigh* Good to see it’s (Probably) going to be 50$, but of course it won’t be worth the 60$.

I knew Crysis 3 would happen, because it is a strong and good selling IP. And mainly because the guys at EA want to continue sitting in Jarl style on a huge pile of cash and gold.

Crysis 3 used to be a secret, until it took an arrow to the cover…
