Good ol’ Square Enix announced a pair of release dates for its upcoming 3DS games: Kingdom Hearts 3D and Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy, scheduled to hit North American shelves on July 31 and July 3, respectively.

What’s that? You want more than just an announcement? Maybe some details? Fine. Good. I have them.

The awfully titled Theatrhythm: Final Fantasty will feature 70 musical scores pulled from/inspired by/somehow related to 25 years of the Final Fantasy franchise, and will basically be like Shrek: The Musical, but a video game that’s a musical about video games. Yes.

And the also terribly titled Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance] (ugh) has some new character art for you. Exactly two new character arts. I am pluralizing that because I can. Please to enjoy the one that is not already at the top of the post, a character I am naming “Mr. or Ms. Purple Hair”:

      No hate. Just apathy.

Also “Dream Drop Distance” being the three-Ds is totally dumb. So, yeah, that name I do hate. But WHATEVS.
