First Look at Far Cry 3 Multiplayer

After a trailer or two offering glimpses into the game, we finally have an in-depth look at Far Cry 3 and its multiplayer offering.

Thanks to a post on VG 24/7, we now have a sweet 5+ minute gameplay trailer that showcases a domination-esque game mode, some familiar weaponry, and a slew of game changing perks. In this game mode specifically, you’ll see players fighting for dominance over several locations on a map, using a fiery arsenal of equipment and weapons.

While you might see some gameplay similarities that match up with other shooters on the market, it’s worth noting neat innovations like tilted RPG aiming and consistent use of the phrase ” I’m reloading!”

Also, the narrator makes some pretty “punny” jokes throughout. Enjoy and weigh in on the game below.

Looks pretty good for a pre-alpha build. I always played the FC series for the single player, so I don’t know how much I’ll play this. Looks kinda fun though.

  Far Cry 1′s multiplayer was pretty damn sweet. It was basically you and 15 other dudes dropped in a jungle to hunt each other Deadliest Game style.
  
  It was the first game I can remember that if a dude was aiming a sniper rifle at you, you’d see the sun glint off of his scope. Why every game doesn’t do that I’ll never know.

pretty cod and battlefield3 styled multiplayer. not complaining but i hope there is something else to it in the final game.

    I think you will need to do so, because you don’t require any more an internet connection to play Ubisoft’s games in single player. lol

Looks pretty good, but it looks too much like CoD, Battlefield, and other generic shooters out there, hopefully they add a bit more as this looks pretty dull. But, it’s a pre-alpha so I can’t really complain. But the real deciding factor for me will be if they keep the same level editor from Far Cry 2; if not then no deal Ubisoft.

This looks great, being that I will not be purchasing any COD’s in the near future this just jumped ahead to my list of games to purchase.
