diablo 3 release date

Today Blizzard officially announced the official release date of Diablo III—officially. After several, several more, and even more several fake announcements for the game’s release date, the company itself has finally come out with it. Diablo III is set to release a scant two months from today, hitting shelves (digital or otherwise) on May 15.

“After many years of hard work by our development team and months of beta testing by hundreds of thousands of dedicated players around the world, we’re now in the homestretch,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment in a press release the company published today. “We look forward to putting the final polish on Diablo III over the next two months and delivering the ultimate action-RPG experience to gamers worldwide starting on May 15.”

The game has an MSRP of $59.99 for the standard digital and retail version. Consumers can also pay a hundred bucks for a “special alabaster-white Collector’s Edition,” which is available only in stores and will include the game, a behind-the-scenes Blu-ray/DVD two-disc set, the game soundtrack CD, a big-ass art book, and a 4GB USB “soulstone” that includes full versions of Diablo II and Diablo II: Lord of Destruction. Also: a Diablo skull base, and exlusive in-game content for Diablo III, World of Warcraft, and StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty. HOLY SCHNEIKIES THAT’S A LOT OF STUFF. My fingers were running out of breath just typing all that stuff without a period. MAN.

But if “free stuff” is more your style, you can sign up for a year’s worth of World of Warcraft gaming and get a free copy of Diablo III. The promotion runs until May 1, so if you’ve been looking for an excuse to go back to WoW, this is probably the best one you’ll find. Signing up for this deal gives gamers an exlulsive WoW in-game mount, and access to the WoW: Mists of Pandria beta test. And if you like kung-fu panda bears, you’ll love this.

You can pre-order the game right here, and read more about the game’s specs and stuff here.

Are you still here? Why haven’t you pre-ordered Diablo III yet?

When they say no multiplayer they mean no Arena you tard fuck. Of course the game has the traditional multiplayer.
