BioSchock Infinite Date and Info Released, PS3 Version Packed with Original Game
Today, Irrational Games has announced that the next game in their mega-franchise, BioShock Infinite, will be hitting PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 on October 16, officially kicking off what will surely be another batch of year-end gaming blockbusters that will suck up our time and money like nobody’s business.
Irrational’s creative director, Ken Levine, had this to say on the company’s announcement post:
“After BioShock, we had a vision for a follow up that dwarfed the original in scope and ambition. BioShock Infinite has been our sole focus for the last four years, and we can’t wait for fans to get their hands on it.”
Over on the PlayStation blog, there’s more news being revealed. Apparently, the PlayStation 3 version of the game will feature PS Move support, and since it’ll come on a Blu-ray disc, PS3 gamers will also be treated to a free copy of the original BioShock. Now that’s a great freakin’ deal—especially if you’re like me, and never played the first one.
Wait, how did I miss the first one? Well, I’ll tell you what happened: I bought BioShock used for Xbox 360. I tried playing it, but after the first hour or so, I got too creeped out. So, uh, I stopped. Why did I stop you ask? Well, because I’m a gigantic pussy. Yup.
Anyway, BioShock Infinite on October 16! Don’t be a pussy!
