If you haven’t been keeping up with the phenomenon that’s been happening around Tim Schafer and his game company Double Fine, then you really should get on it. In summary, Double Fine wanted to make a point-and-click adventure game, but didn’t have the cash to do it. They needed $400,000 to make the game and create a documentary about the process.

The project was entirely funded in less than 9 hours, and hit the one million mark in a matter of days.

As of this point, the project has seen over two million dollars in pledges. That’s greater than 500% of the funding they originally requested.

Schafer has since updated the public on their plans for the game, detailing platforms, DRM and the eventual closed beta for backers of the project.

For more on the project, check out the Kickstarter page. If you’re interested in funding the project (and netting some rewards in the process), there’s no rush.

You still have 22 days left.
