Fallout 3 & Oblivion Double Pack Hits Xbox 360 and PC April 3

In a post via the Bethesda Blog this morning, Bethesda announced that they’ll be releasing a new double pack combo at retailers. The pack includes Fallout 3 and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion in one bundle for just $29.99 on Xbox 360 and $19.99 on PC – both releasing on April 3.

Bethesda currently doesn’t hold the rights to create a PS3 version of the bundle, but they hope to come out with one soon.

While this is great news for anyone who missed out on two of the most stellar RPG’s of the last few years, the question does come to mind: Why aren’t these versions the Game of The Year editions of Fallout 3 and Oblivion?

Shouldn’t the bundle consist of all available content? After all, Bethesda did just release an Oblivion Anniversary Edition. The box even boasts “The 2006 and 2008 Game of The Year Award Winners”  on the cover.

Regardless, a fantastic deal for two extremely content-packed RPGs.

  1. Jesus, they really went all out with the box art didn’t they?
