Assassins Creed Revelations - Ezio Near Mountains

In wake of the recent Assassin’s Creed 3 rumors spreading around the net, it’s refreshing to receive news in my inbox that I can actually confirm the truth of. More specifically, we have the name and price of the newest Assassin’s Creed Revelations DLC.

According to reports on Game Revolution, retailer GameStop sent out an email to customers detailing the next expansion for the game:  ‘Lost Archive’.

It appears to be an expansion for the single-player campaign, a nice change of pace compared to the slew of multiplayer packs that have been releasing as of late.

You can pre-order the DLC from GameStop soon, if you wish. Interestingly though, it seems that (at the moment) they have exclusivity on the content.

The Lost Archive DLC will be available on February 28 on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 for $15.

Releasing map packs is lazy and requires almost no brain power on the dev.s side. That’s why I have never purchased a single map mack, not including the Karkad map pack that already came with my BF copy. Why I really love ME2 is because almost all DLC releases have some expansion on the ACTUAL story. CoD, BF, Gears (for the most part), and many others have been getting in that mdoe of map packs in order to avoid higher budget DLC. To this day I still do not understand how CoD games are able to charge over fifteen bucks for these DLC packs. Now, I wait and see what happens with ME3… I fear that ME3 multiplayer is somehow going to make Bioware think that they need to make more maps for gamers to play with instead of more story content…
