While many will spend their first few weeks of summer lazily enjoying the sun’s rays, some will do the exact same…except while playing the heck out of Resistance: Burning Skies.
According to a post on the PlayStation Blog, the fifth entry in the Resistance franchise, Burning Skies (specifically tailored for the Vita) will be releasing on May 29, 2012.
“Resistance: Burning Skies pulls you into an entirely new dimension of the Resistance universe. Set in a tale of survival during the August 1951 Chimeran invasion of the East Coast, you take control of Tom Riley, an everyday firefighter from New Jersey who is thrown headfirst into the teeth of the Chimeran war machine, forcing him to redefine his notions of duty and heroism.”
To tie it all together, we have a first person shooter with twin stick controls, console grade graphics, and online multiplayer – all on a mobile device?
Welcome to the future folks.
If you’re unsure about Burning Skies, check out our interview and hands-on with the game at CES 2012.
