Minecraft Pocket Edition Gets Survival Update

Minecraft-Pocket-Edition

While building structures in Minecraft: Pocket Edition is fun, there’s nothing quite like fighting off hordes of zombies on the original desktop version.

Thanks to the mobile design team at Mojang (and the outcries of the community), the newest update (that includes such zombies) is landing very soon for the mobile version of Minecraft, update 0.2.0 to be specific.

This update adds zombies (that can kill you), as well as doors, gates, and fences to protect you from the nocturnal horde. Sheep have also been added.

Crafting is still not in place for Pocket Edition, but Kaplan has stated before that it’s currently planned for a future update.

For those who still enjoy creative mode, flying has been introduced. No longer will a stream of infinite ladders be necessary to ascend to the Minecraft heavens.

You can snag the update for Android right now, and in about one week from now on iOS. If you don’t already own the game, it costs $6.99 on both iOS and Android platforms.
