Sonic Boom 2012 Happening at Comic Con This Year

Sonic Boom, the now annual Sonic The Hedgehog based event from SEGA, will take place at San Diego Comic Con this year, and will celebrate its festivities in the House of Blues.

Dishing out details via their blog, SEGA is inviting all fans of Sonic (press included) to the second Sonic Boom event on Friday, July 13th. While many individuals will likely be in attendance for Comic Con at the same time, SEGA has made it clear that you will not be required to have a Comic Con badge to attend Sonic Boom.

Last year’s event held the opportunity for franchise fans to play Sonic Generations, enjoy music by Crush40, and meet other Sonic fans and industry folk. While no solid details were given on this year’s event, SEGA is aiming for a similar experience that’s “a great time for Sonic fans of all ages.” Our guess it that they’ll show whatever Sonic project is currently underway, quite possibly something to follow up the success of Sonic Generations.
