Awesome Game Gear Titles Headed to 3DS eShop

Back when I was just a little guy, one of my absolute favorite games ever was Shinobi for the Game Gear. You had to free all the other different colored ninjas from their imprisonment, and each ninja had his own special ability. It was like Power Rangers, but in an awesome game and not as dumb.

So when I saw that website TinyCartridge had spotted two classic Game Gear games—Shinobi and Sonic Triple Trouble—having been rated by the ESRB for the Nintendo 3DS, things got pretty excited in my brain.

Upon hearing the news of Sonic Triple Trouble, our own Justin Fassino had this to say:

“BAAAAAAAH

“Sonic Triple Trouble was THE SHIT. I love that game.”

I’m honestly not sure whether or not I played this game when I was a kid, but I have a feeling I did…and if nothing else, I’m willing to bet that if it can make Justin go “BAAAAAAAH,” it’s got to have some goodness going for it.

No word yet on when they might be released or for how much…but I think you can pretty much guarantee that these’ll be worth whatever they charge.
