Rumor: Street Fighter X Tekken DLC Character List Leaked

sf x tek dlc

A post on ScrewAttack offers a rumored list of DLC for the upcoming fighter, Street Fighter X Tekken—along with a healthy dose of frustration at Capcom’s insistence at making gamers pay through the nose for content that should come with the game’s initial purchase (especially given how often their fighters get subsequent updates that include everything).

“Capcom can be assholes when it comes to DLC. They can never get it right. I was really hoping Capcom would realize a full game with all the 50 characters that were leaked without DLC, but I was wrong,” writes the post’s author, right before he presents the list of DLC and prices.

Which is reposted right here:

  • Boost Gem Pack 1 – $2.99, Includes 9 new gems to equip to your characters.
  • Boost Gem Pack 2 – $2.99, Includes 9 new gems to equip to your characters.
  • Color Edit Pack 1 – FREE, Includes 4 new colors to use in the Color Edit mode.
  • Costume Swap S Pack – $9.99, Includes a new costume for each of the Street Fighter characters, based on a Tekken character.
  • Costume Swap T Pack – $9.99, Includes a new costume for each of the Tekken characters, based on a Street Fighter character.
  • Costume Swap X Pack – $15.99, A combination of the S Pack and T Pack – Includes new costumes for each character, based on characters from the opposite series.
  • New Challengers Pack – $7.99, Adds 4 new characters to the game: Cody, Guy, Christie and Leo.
  • X Unlocker – $4.99, Unlocks two secret characters, Akuma and Ogre, as well as all additional character colors and special modes without having to perform the in-game tasks to unlock them.

The list seems to have been initially posted by Hadoken.net, a blog dedicated to fighting games. What do you think—will you buy the game and shell out cash for the DLC? Or wait for the eventual “Super” or “Ultimate” edition that makes all the DLC included at a lower price? Fighting games are kind of a racket, these days, since early adopters get the edge on the competition so they can dominate in matches. Hmm.

Well that’s actually naive, thinking that the ULTIMATE edition that comes later will include all the characters and will be dlc free.i mean MvC Ultimate is a great example of this.
Capcom is taking this DLC thing wayyyyyy to far.

Ultimate MVC didn’t even have jill and shumagorath which shouldn’t have been hidden or for $10

I hope capcom’s odd business decision is doing them well enough, because they just lost one customer here. This is just infuriating, I vow not to buy from capcom until they get their shit straight or release a good megaman game. Who knows maybe they’ll do a megamqn x collection but only give you half and give the rest as dlc. And then paying for cheats on dead rising 2, really?

I’m done with capcom, or at least their fighting games

The only 1 that seems worth it is the x unlocker

This is bullshit, they have dlc they could add to the game right now but they wont and instead of paying 60 bucks for a full game you get the full game for $15-$20 more.
