And Now, Gaming Coverage From Dubai

By Lawrence Sonntag | 18 January 2012 | 7 Comments

Typically we gaming enthusiasts focus on three regions of the world: North America, Europe, and Japan. This may come as a shock, but video games are so awesome that people all over the planet play them.

With that in mind, here’s a bit of Inside Gaming cultural outreach. Above is an interview between Ahmed Al-Nasheet, Owner and founder of DvLZGaME, and Sony MENA  (Middle East and North Africa) General Manger Robert Fisser at a Vita event in Dubai. In the interview, Al-Nasheet fires off a ton of questions that concern gamers in that region. I was particularly interested in his questions regarding changing nationality on a PSN account — something that we rarely need to do in America.

Al-Nasheet also recorded the press conference for the Vita, which includes demonstrations of the Near functionality and gaming demos of some of the launch software. Call me sentimental, but I get warm fuzzies seeing gaming spread to every corner of the globe.
