Modern Warfare 3 DLC Schedule is a Big’Un

mw3 dlc

Yesterday, a post on Joystiq offered details about the forthcoming schedule for downloadable content for Activision’s Modern Warfare 3. The first DLC ought to be available to Call of Duty Elite subscribers on Xbox LIVE on January 24, starting with two multiplayer maps: “Liberation” and “Piazza.”

Over the next three months, says the post, developer Infinity Ward will provide five total DLC packages, with a total of 20 by September. That’s a lot of DLC! In addition, March will offer a DLC bundle for Xbox gamers who aren’t Elite subscribers.

Robert Bowling, Creative Strategist at Infinity Ward, explained what gamers can expect over the next few months, and the thought process that went into the creation of the new DLC:

“The first pack is traditional multiplayer maps, but we want to do Spec Ops missions, missions, Spec-Ops Survival, new game types, new game modes, and really look at adding things that we’ve never done before […]We said [to developers Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer Games, and Raven Software] just do what you think is gonna be good. Do what’s fun and, as long is fits in the Modern Warfare universe, try it! Experiment with it, and we’ll take the best of the best and start polishing it up and releasing it. So that’s really where our focus has been.”

I just hope they don’t forget to include the thing that really makes Modern Warfare stand out from its competition: shooting people with guns.

yet another mappack for mw2 ? that’s awesome!
does anyone remember the times when you spent maybe 40 or 50 bucks on a game, didn’t get spied on by a software you had to install to run the game, didn’t need to buy the patches for another 15$ each, and got a decent booklet with it? good times

@tehfreddie If you stopped been a “Fucking CoD fanboy kid” for just 1 minute and actually read his post. You would realise he never said a thing about not liking CoD. Just that games are getting more and more expensive with DLC on >> All Games Not Just CoD <<

First off, thanks for copying my name. I feel honored.
I never said I don’t like CoD. In fact I played every game of the franchise and I liked it.
All I said was that games keep getting more expensive when you want the full experience.
They get released unfinished and we have to pay for the things that should already be in the game in the first place. That is true not only for the CoD series but for pretty much any game.

That’s what I meant. But while I’m at it:
What makes you think anyone cares about your rant?
For future comments please keep that in mind and try to be respectful. Thanks

@DrOstler Thanks for understanding and defending me ;D

damn. at least they’re making Elite look like it’s worth it. I thought it would just be data tracking.

Really, cutting PS3 even with elite! Theres a reason I payed for it. Next year I may take my money else where, considering the games are getting worse every launch

20 DLCs by September… well at least we know that the paid version of elite isn’t useless.

Allow me to fix your grammar:
“dude” should be capitalised as it starts the sentence and should be followed by a comma. Call Of Duty should have capital letters as it is a brand name. Space after question marks, exclamation marks and full stops. You should not spell words phonetically, even “you”. There should be a comma after “tehfreddie” in your name.
    There. Feel happier now?
