Battlefield 3 Developer Wants Your Feedback
While not many developers open the floodgates for feedback and criticism from its players, it would seem that Alan Kertz from DICE welcomes the words of gamers.
In an ongoing effort to optimize and balance Battlefield 3’s multiplayer component, Kertz, Core Gameplay Designer, has posted a Reddit thread, entitled “Discussion of BF3 Weapon Accessories, and their Futures!”
Kertz mentions in the thread that he feels “the player is limited in choice due to a few accessories being the clear winners in almost all categories”.
“While this unfortunately means nerfing those that are over used, the goal here is to focus on improving the under performing and under used attachments. Additionally it is the intention for an unmodified weapon to offer the best balance of Recoil, Accuracy, and Stealth.”
He goes on to say that he’s “not promising this will go live” but is still looking for “feedback and discussion.”
Find yourself playing an unhealthy amount of Battlefield 3, or just have an opinion that cannot be quelled? Go forth and speak.
