Saints Row the Third Performance Problems on PCs

According to a post on Joystiq, PC gamers hoping to enjoy Saints Row the Third have been running into some performance problems, particularly if they’re using AMD or Nvidia hardware. Apparently, despite having been ported to the PC by the game’s developer, Volition, gamers were experiencing performance issues in outdoor areas of the game, which, as the post perfectly points out, “is a problem, given that the open-world parts of open-world games tend to, you know, be in the open areas of the world. Outdoors.”

You can’t really put it better than that. Most of the problems seem to be a totally janked and butchered frame rate, which, I can imagine, would put a major dent in your enjoyment of the game.

Volition has already issued one patch, it seems, and they’re hard at work trying to resolve the issue. In the meantime, if you PC users are looking for some awesome dildo-bat action, there is, like, all of the pornography everywhere on the internet. That will probably tide you over for a while.
