Bastion Half Off on XBLA, 12 Days of Xbox Deals
Everyone’s favorite video game uncle, Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb, has posted on his blog announcing that Microsoft has kicked off its 12 Days of Xbox, offering deals on games and content as the days until 2012 tick down.
Today’s deal starts with Bastion, the indie hit that’s been widely regarded as one of the year’s best. Instead of the usual 1200 Microsoft points (which translates to about $15), the game’s price has been slashed in half, costing a mere 600 points. When the game first came out this summer, I vowed that I would snag it for XBLA (I’m a console gamer, sue me) when the game was eventually discounted. Many months of waiting for the eventual sale has left me wondering if the day would ever come—and today it has. I just bought this bitch. BLAM.
Now, over the next 11 days, the blog will be posting a new deal every 24 hours, but with each deal expiring when the new one goes live. That means that if you want your Bastion on the cheap for XBLA, you’ve got to do it today.
The bog also offers a whole slew of discounts good from now until January 2, including half off on the L.A. Noire Rockstar Pass, Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet, Portal, and BloodRayne Betrayal, to name a few. Solid stuff, Microsoft.

I got it earlier this morning, I’m so glad I waited. But none of the other sales look interesting to me, I’ll just have to see what PSN will have on sale, even though I prefer Xbox.
You missed an L in blog in the last paragraph. Just thought you’d wanna know.
After playing the trial in chrome, i really want bastion, but i am plagued with a question.
If steam has it at $10 and XBLA has it at $7.50, should i snag it at $7.50 or wait to see if it goes lower on steam?
