The Inside Gaming Mixtape – Volume One

Last week I asked what songs reminded the editorial staff of specific games. Whether it be from a commercial, in game or just something they dreamt; I wanted to know what licensed songs hit close to home for no reason other than sense memory. So without further ado, we present to you the very first swap meet edition of the Inside Gaming Mixtape. For obvious reasons we can only post streaming links, so click around and enjoy.

    I myself have found that driving on a sidewalk full of people to Mozart’s Eine Kleine Nachtmusik: Serenade No 13 in G, Allegro in Saint’s row the third to be an extremely therapeutic experience. (link – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4Hfv00eqoI)

    Consider adding Battlefield 2 loading screen songs, They were the only thing that could keep me pumped for the game I was joining despite the long loads:

    I have three more trailers that are among my favorites:
    Mercenaries 2 – Oh No You Didn’t Commercial (only because I had the first game had to check the second one out)
    The Second Left 4 Dead 2 TV Spot – “Electric Worry” by Clutch (because it’s catchy)
    and Spider-Man: Web of Shadows – “Moonlight Sonata” by Ludwig van Beethoven (classical music is always good)

    all i have to offer is Mental Institution from Serious Sam 2, and Corridor of Death from Serious Sam the Second Encounter … those two are the best songs to listen to whilst mowing down enormous armies

    Always play Halo and listen to this. Them singing about peace and unity while I’m running over Grunts in a Ghost. Good times :]

    I kid you not. I own 10 of the 11 tracks here already.

    Exceptions: DJ darkzones infinity in your hands i have on his “megamix” track but not as a stand alone track. In fact. I never even knew that the song was used for that game xD

    and then i’ve never heard the assassins creed track.

    Flower by Moby for Battlefield 3. If you have doubts, try it. Launching tank shells from the American spawn hill on Caspian Border Rush goes so well with this song.
