Alan Wakes Up On PC in Early 2012
This morning, Remedy Entertainment published a press release announcing the coming of Alan Wake on the PC. Scheduled to hit in early 2012, the game will include “The Signal” and “The Writer” DLC as part of the package.
The PC version’s release will also closely coincide with the release of the XBLA game, Alan Wake’s American Nightmare.
Now, if you’re like me and you’re just now paying attention to this Alan Wake feller, the game’s eponymous protagonist is a best-selling author who goes on vacation to the small not-at-all-creepy town of Bright Falls to try and alleviate his writer’s block (I do this every three or four days—it’s great). But he discovers his wife is missing, and there are pages to a manuscript he wrote that he doesn’t remember writing…
It all sounds super cool, to be honest. Yes, I’m late to the Alan Wake party. But this sounds pretty freaking cool to me…

I’ve heard about this game! I heard there was a part where he has a nightmare where some ominous voice screams at him that his writing is no good. A true nightmare indeed!
Joking aside this game is freaking amazing. I haven’t had the chance to play “The Writer” yet but that game is creepy as hell. First time I played it was at midnight, with one lamp on, in a house that wasn’t mine. I couldn’t tell which was scarier, actually playing the game or trying to go to sleep after a few hours…
Brian your titles never fail to disappoint. I’m glad this game is finally coming to the master race.
Good god, I need to pick up this game, especially with the sequel coming out next year.
