Tony Hawk Returns From Short-Lived Retirement for Tony Hawk HD

By Ben PerLee | 11 December 2011 | 4 Comments

Remember when Activision announced that the Tony Hawk franchise was going to take a break for a while? Well, it looks like that retirement was only a short one, as at the VGAs Activision announced Tony Hawk HD, an HD remake of Tony Hawk Pro Skater and Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2. Classic levels like warehouse, school, and downhill will be making a return with a fresh coat of sheen. According to Joystiq, the game will be coming in at a sub-$20 price and will be a digital title coming out this coming summer, 2012. Fingers crossed they got the original soundtrack to the game too.

Activision is like one of those crazy cat ladies. When one of their cats dies, they sit and cradle it and pretend like it’s still alive, even when everyone around her knows it’s dead.

So eloquently true I can’t wrap my head around it.

When is some indie developer gonna make a game of THAT? “Press X to cradle dead cat’s head.”

Funny thing was that controlling ride on the bord was like skating on a dead cat. Seriously activision should just put an arrow in the knee of this franchise and be done with it
