Free iPhone App for Skyrim Coming Soon
From what I understand, the world of Skyrim is vast and expansive, much like the wilds of rural Minnesota, and players would benefit from knowing where they’re at and where they’re headed.
Well, worry no more, dragonnerds, because the new iOS app, “Dragon Shout,” will have you covered.
According to a post on Joystiq, Dragon Shout will function much like Google Maps, allowing users to navigate the world via phone, and also mark locations with item drops and tips for other players. The post quotes the app’s developer, who offered this example: “yesterday I played Skyrim and left a bunch of dragon scales and bones on the side of a mountain because they were too heavy.”
I hate it when that happens!
In addition, the app will let you mark areas with descriptions for friends, so if there’s a great hidden loot area or a spider that bit your dick off, you can let people know on the app. The post notes that the application has been submitted to Apple for approval and will be for use on the iPhone or the iPad in a couple days for free.
Of course, if you’re already sitting at home in the dark playing Skyrim, and then you whip out your cell phone…so you can kinda keep playing Skyrim while you’re sitting there already playing it, well, you might have a problem with priorities. Try going outside. For just, like, a couple minutes. See if there’s an app for that.
There isn’t?
Shit. Never mind.

:/
screw this, they need to release the creation kit already!
There are no unscripted dragons outside. Just putting that out there.
Where the Android version :(
There had better be a function in the app to play the dragon shout “FUS RO DAH!” out of your speakers.
What Landon said. I’m not even kidding, that’s a genius idea.
I hope they release the creation kit too, but this seems cool.
Also someone should make a loud Mobile soundboard of all the shouts, including some only Alduin does. At the next con play one of those and some people will be like, WHERE IS THE DRAGON?!
