You know, I have a feeling that BIO:INFINITE is just a filler just to make us, the fans happy so they can put their focus on the TRUE BIOSHOCK 3 game without being worried about making us wait so long. What do you think?

I'm not saying it won't be Bioshock, I'm just saying what they've shown us so far and what they've been talking about focuses a lot on crazy combat and who you'll be fighting rather than on atmosphere and story. I'm not saying there won't be a good story, I'm just saying they're opting to do it like they did Bioshock 2 (A lot of emphasis on combat and feeling like a bad ass) rather than how they did Bioshock 1 (A lot of atmosphere and actually feeling kind of helpless in the face of the various villains and such.)

Solid points, but I'd argue in favor of the atmosphere and tone of infinite. It seems engrossed in the history of the city and the civil war that's taking place within.

You also can't forget about the main characters, their stories, and the explanation of that giant bird reaper thing.

Looks a lot like the Bioshock I know.

I really doubt Bioshock Infinite will be as ground breaking as they say. No games in a franchise will ever be as fresh or as inventive as the original, generally, so I will honestly be shocked if Infinite tops the first Bioshock game, which it probably won't, since it also appears to have a big emphasis on combat, like the second game, rather than atmosphere and tone.
