Nightwing Revealed in Arkham City

The last few weeks or so, the gaming and comics internet’s been buzzing with rumors that Nightwing, the character who was once Batman’s first Robin, would be a playable character in Batman: Arkham City. Today, developer Rocksteady confirmed that the character would in fact be available via DLC on November 1.

From the press release:

“Nightwing comes complete with his own unique gadgets and special moves, and is playable in all challenge maps in the game, as well as two additional challenge maps that are included with the pack: Wayne Manor and Main Hall. The pack also contains a bonus Animated Series Nightwing character skin.”

The DLC will cost $6.99 on PSN and 560 Microsoft Points on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace. The press release also notes that the Robin content—which is available as a pre-order bonus from Best Buy—will be available to all game-owners as DLC on November 22…which makes me kind of annoyed that I pre-ordered with Best Buy thinking I’d have some exclusive shit…

Ah, well. At least I won’t have to pay extra for it.

May I also point out that I totally called it in terms of some of the playable skins in the game, way back in July, where I called on Rocksteady to throw in Batman Beyond and Nightwing skins for the game. THAT IS BECAUSE I AM A BATMAN-GENIUS.

Thank you, and good night.

Batman: Arkham City comes out a week from today in North America on October 18. Cancel all my appointments for next week.

Wait Robin is exclusive to Best Buy? I’ve been seeing adds at Gamestop saying pre order and you get him to. Hopefully the Nightwing DLC dosen’t effect platinums

Google told me who Rainbow Dash is. But Rainbow Raider is far superior–and in-continuity.
