A post on Joystiq today pulled a telling quote from an interview between Witcher developers CD Projekt Red and Rock Paper Shotgun. During the interview, Adam Badowski, development director for CDP, discussed the downloadable content situation for the PC and Xbox 360 versions of the game:
“All DLC for the PC version is and will remain FREE…That’s not likely to be the story for the Xbox version, because of certain Microsoft policies that need to be followed. But on PC, once you buy our game, you don’t need to worry about any additional costs—we will provide all updates, including those featuring new content, for free.”
Ah, but if you play the game on the Xbox 360, you can play on your TV! And…spend more money on DLC…
Yeah, PC gaming is getting more and more attractive these days.
