Battlefield 3 Beta Date Announced, Bitches

Are you strapped in?

Do you have your helmet on?

Today, over on EA’s Battleblog, the beta date for Battlefield 3 was announced as September 29, and will run until October 10. Along with simply playing the game before it officially releases, you’ll also be able to try out the Battlelog social platform thingie, which, I guess, is like Facebook but with bullets instead of pokes.

And now, to guarantee that the game’s sales on Origin quintuple, here’s how you get in on the beta EVEN EARLIER:

“If you pre-order Battlefield 3 (PC digital download version) on Origin before September 25th, or if you have bought Medal of Honor: Limited Edition/Tier 1 Edition, you will get 48 hours early access to the Beta, meaning you can start playing Tuesday, September 27th. The full details on how you will be granted early acess [sic] is available on our new Beta section.”

The console versions of Battlefield 3’s beta can be found on the digital marketplace sections of the PS3 and Xbox 360. Of course, if you’ve got questions, head over to EA’s beta faq.

I’ve been trying really hard to avoid more “master beta” jokes. Ah, well.
