I love online co-op in video games, I really do. I think it’s so easy to compete with one another, but cooperative video games can be so much richer. So it’s with extreme excitement that I report on the fact that the forthcoming Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD remake coming to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this November.

Posts on Eurogamer and Joystiq show that the game will support four-player online co-op, though it’s not been revealed as to whether or not the game will support split-screen cooperative play. Personally, I kind of hate split-screen play in all its forms, so if it’s not there, I won’t cry. Really, I won’t.

But, as you can see above, that’s the game being played across four screen in an image posted by Hideo Kojima on his Twitter feed. Peace Walker is just one game that will be playable in the HD Collection, which will also include MGS2, MGS3, and the original Metal Gear 1 and 2.
