Amazon’s Goldbox Overflows with Video Game Deals Today

Every few weeks, Amazon likes to cater specifically to the video gamer crowd, and this is that day today. TODAY.

If you direct your browser over to Amazon’s Gold Box Deals page, you’ll see that they’ve got six Lightning Deals planned, with some pretty broad hints to help you figure out pretty much what will be in the offing later today.

As of this writing, there’s about 27 minutes left for Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 Portable for PSP, discounted 30% from $39.99 to $34.27.

The next Lightning Deal, available at 8 a.m. Pacific, will undoubtedly be a World Cup game, as the teaser copy un-mysteriously commands you to “Bust out your vuvuzelas one last time.”

Basics for the rest: A golf game for the PlayStation Move will be available at 11 a.m., one of those Yoostar karaoke games at 2 p.m., a mob-of-zombies title for Xbox 360 at 5 p.m., and an MMA game on PS3 at 8 p.m.

And of course, there’s the Deal of the Day, which is Just Dance Summer Party for the Wii, cut 50%, selling for $14.99.

So it’s not the greatest bunch of sales. If you’ve been holding out on buying a shitty video game for your cousin’s birthday or something, you’ve got your pick of the litter. And I mean litter, because a few of these are probably just utter garbage.
