Pokemon in Minecraft: Like Chocolate and Peanut Butter Together

One of the best things about Minecraft is how the game looks like a 2D, sprite-based videogame look perfect in a 3D environment. It’s so flexible at replicating many other gameplay experiences. However, I would never think that Minecraft would be the right game for replicating something like Pokemon.

But it’s true. Developed by Seagoingmanatee, a mod of Minecraft will see the addition of all 151 original Pokemon, pokeball and pokemon item crafting, team rocket, and battling. It’s very ambitious, very time intensive, and while a beta exists, it’s going to be a long time before this mod is complete. I hope Nintendo doesn’t put the kibosh on this too quickly.
