Telltale Unveils Walking Dead Screenshots

Anticipation is pretty high for the upcoming Walking Dead game from Telltale. Nobody really knew how the damn game was going to run, and while the gameplay is a little ambiguous at the moment, we now know how it looks. And it looks hot.
Above was the screenshot Telltale showed off at The Walking Dead game. It’s got a nice balance between the hand drawn sketchy aesthetic of the comics, and, well, color. It’s a beautiful looking game, and an interesting direction for a company slowly blossoming into something a little edgier. I love it.
Telltale also indicated that the zombie killing elements won’t be so important compared to other zombie games. Instead, the game will be very choice driven, with actions far from black and white, instead driving the narrative. What it won’t be is Resident Evil, Dead Island, or Dead Rising. Players will fill the shoes of Lee, a prisoner who survives a zombie attack en route to a new prison, and in the process of this episodic game will become friends with a little girl. It’s a dark premise, a little set aside from the main plot of the comics, and it looks awesome.
More details will be coming at the New York Comic-Con
