More Details On Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 Announced at Comic-Con

Capcom hasn’t had the best of luck in the last week. Cancelling Mega Man Legends 3 and leaking the entirety of the Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 roster didn’t do themselves many favors. However, the show must go on, and in this case it’s the UMvC3 session at Comic-Con going on right now in San Diego. Thankfully, twelve new characters are not the only thing fresh about this update to MvC3.
Concerning those characters, producer Ryota Niitsuma said “because we’re all adults here, you all know there are only four characters announced so far.” Moving on, it was announced that characters will be getting new costumes to be purchased with DLC, with Phoenix used as an example, rocking outfits from X-Factor and Age of Apocalypse. Evil versions of characters will also be making an appearance. Players who pre-order the game will be getting costumes, depending on what place they pre-order from.
From a gameplay standpoint, there have been some changes to balance the game a pit. For example, X-factor can now be activated mid-air, which is going to change some of the core mechanics quite a bit.
