Activision’s Voice Cast for Upcoming Marvel Games is Real Genius (BOING!)

Yesterday, Variety reported that some top notch voice talent has been cast in two of Activision’s upcoming video games based on Marvel Comics, Spider-Man: Edge of Time and X-Men: Destiny.
Spider-Man boasts the talents of Val Kilmer as evil, 2099-era scientist Walker Sloan, who puts the Spider-Men (Spider-Mans?) through their paces both in the future and in the present Marvel universe. Laura Vandervoort (Smallville’s Supergirl) will be giving voice to longtime Spidey love Mary Jane, while fanboy-favorite Katee Sackoff (Battlestar Galactica’s Starbuck) will portray Spidey’s OTHER longtime love, the Black Cat. Veteran Spider-Man voice actors Josh Keaton and Christopher Daniel Barnes will be bringing Spider-Man (regular) and Spider-Man 2099 to life, respectively.
Meanwhile, three more genre-actors will voice the brand-new characters created specifically for X-Men: Destiny. Milo Ventimiglia of the ill-fated Heroes is joined by Jamie Chung (Sucker Punch) and Scott Porter (Friday Night Lights). The game is written by veteran comics-scribe Mike Carey, though the names or identities of the new characters these actors will be voicing aren’t yet known.
Look for both games this fall.
