The Most Infuriating Super Mario Bros. Run You’ll Ever Watch

YouTube user NotEntirelySure (a gamer whose YouTube page boasts plenty of “Old School Gaming Feats”) recently posted the current record holder for the lowest scoring, no-death run of Super Mario Bros.

While I have the utmost respect for a gamer who can muster so much skill and restraint as to be able to pull this off, watching this happen kind of makes me feel insane.  Look at all those Koopas he’s not stomping!  All the coins he’s not collecting!  Mario even waits at the frigging flagpole for all the time to run out so he can get as low a score as possible!  It’s madness, I tell you.  It’s like Chinese water torture for videogame fans.

“In 8-1, I have to perform a pretty precise jump off a goomba to avoid some coins,” says NotEntirelySure on the video’s YouTube page.  He also spares us the more tedious aspects of earning a new record: “Since you probably don’t want to watch that, I cut out almost 8 minutes of video where I’m just running out the clock.”

Thanks for that.

Anyhow, way to go, buddy.  You’re the best at…well, whatever this is.
