Somewhere between all the poor English dubbing and “Transfarring,” Konami managed to announce a thing or two during their Pre-E3 live stream show today. The Silent Hill section of the presentation saw the reveal of a brand new Silent Hill title for Sony’s upcoming handheld, NGP (or Vita, whatever). Other than the name, Silent Hill: Book of Memories, the only detail shown about the game was the following disclaimer: ”This game has not been concept approved by Sony Computer Entertainment of America.” Hmm. Not sure I’ve ever heard of a publisher announcing a game that hasn’t been approved by the platform holder before. We’ve reached out to SCEA for an official comment.

And for those looking to revisit some old Silent Hill memories, Konami also announced a Silent Hill HD collection which will include prettier, updated versions of Silent Hill 2 and 3.

No release date for either release was announced.
