Rumors Indicate Nintendo Limiting Supplies of Ocarina of Time 3DS

ocarina of time 3ds

Nintendo hasn’t been really successful with the 3DS right now. I don’t have one. There’s a good suspicion that you don’t have one. A lot of people don’t have one! There are plenty of reasons for this, such as high price tag during a recession, lack of pretty-pretty colors (I want brown…I’m weird, ok?), and the fact that there are no awesome games. But you know what is awesome? Ocarina of Time. That game is amazing. Sure, I think Wind Waker is the better Zelda, but Ocarina of Time is a classic.

So that’s why it’s completely baffling the rumors from Japanese blog Sinobi indicate that Nintendo is going to make a limited run of the 3DS remake. Apparently the market saturation of Spirit Tracks has scared the company into being a little stingy with the game. Ugh. Apparently retailers won’t be able to reorder, and most units will go to pre-orders.

Now, I have a few theories if this is true. There might be a return to shiny-gold colored cartridges or something of the sort, with a special limited version of the game. Or it could be they’ll ramp up production of the game as interest swells and 3DS sell. Or, Nintendo could be a giant company of jerks and keep the game out of our hands because they are mean.
