Retro Studios Working on Something Big for Wii 2

By Robert Hathorne | 20 April 2011 | 1 Comment

Donkey Kong Country Returns and Metroid Prime Trilogy developer, Retro Studios, told the Paul Gale Network that they’re working on “a project everyone wants us to do” for the next Nintendo console.

Austin, Texas based Retro Studios has had a development kit for the the new console, codenamed Project Cafe, for quite some time, which means Nintendo is looking to them to show what it can really do come launch time. Donkey Kong Country Returns was a damn fine game, and the Metroid Prime Trilogy is one of the best experiences the Wii has to offer, so here’s hoping Retro can really start the next Nintendo console off with a bang, rather than a waggle.

If this is another Metroid Prime style Metroid game then I have to get a Wii 2, which sucks cause I hate the Wii and not a big fan of Nintendo. But a good Metroid game is worth a Nintendo system.
