Just What You Wanted: Another BloodRayne

Majesco’s pulling out the big guns today, announcing the resurrection to the long-dormant BloodRayne series with BloodRayne: Betrayal. The new game will be a 2.5D downloadable side-scroller developed by WayForward Technologies. While you may be groaning at the BloodRayne title, WayForward has ample chops when it comes to platformers. They developed the cult classic Shantae as well as the impossibly adorable A Boy and His Blob (2009).

No screens or gameplay available for the title yet, which is odd considering the game is aiming for a Summer 2011 release on the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. I don’t give two testicles about BloodRayne, but WayForward can work some magic on the 2D plane, so this might be worth checking out.
