NPD Restricting Media Access

It wasn’t too long ago that financial analysis group, NPD stopped reporting numerical sales figures of every game sku in exchange for a top ten sellers list. Now, the group is further tightening their knowledge sphincter by asking analysts not to divulge confidential figures to the media, and to remove media members from their mailing lists.

It’s NPD’s right to keep their data private, so you really can’t hate ‘em, but with how much fuel they used to provide to the flame wars with their sales figures, I can’t help but feel a certain void in my beloved internet. Oh well, their numbers aren’t relevant anyway.
