Resident Evil Revival Selection Gets Site and Comparison Screens (Updated)

Update:

In the continued string of updates regarding the Resident Evil Revival Selection — because someone can’t seem to put together a thorough press release…oh, wait, here’s a press release. *shuffles papers* In celebration of Resident Evil‘s 15th anniversary, RE4 and Code: Veronica will be released not as a bundle, but individually on PSN and XBLA in all their newly HDed glory this fall.

Original Post:

Today, Capcom launched an official site for Resident Evil Revival Selection, all in Japanese of course, that Google translates thusly: “Revival Selection Resident Evil was released for other models, Resident Evil 4 Resident Evil CODE: Veronica Complete Edition of the two titles PlayStation ® 3, Xbox 360 ® for the HD remasters for, deals sold as a package. 720p image resolution is also supported. Clearer graphics!”

Some of that doesn’t make a lick of sense, but I think we can glean that Resident Evil Revival Selection will, indeed, include HD versions of Resident Evil 4 and Code: Veronica. That should clarify some of the rumors, at least. Oh, and here’s some comparison shots…

They must have taken pictures from one of the older tv’s and gamecube. My pc version looks sweet and as good as the above. But for something thats going to XBL, I can’t complain.

    Revive them all! ALL!

I had to buy a Game Cube just so I could play the Resident Evil games in better resolution than the original PSOne versions. It came as a very welcomed surprise that RE1 had some added game play features. Have all the versions in HD. Have some added features, Resident Evil is one of the best franchises out there. It deserves an HD remake.

While the bright moments are remade to be gritty and the dark tone is remade by lightening it up,I can’t really see any other big difference.Sure there are the HD textures and models, but they still look the same to me.
Perhaps the only good HD remakes that deserve their price are the Serious Sam games, look them up.
