Prey 2 Confirmed by French Magazine Joystick

Back in 2008, Scott Miller from 3D Realms announced that a sequel to the 2006 first-person shooter Prey was in development by Human Head Studios and that 2K would once again be publishing. Unfortunately, nothing more was said about the game, except for news that Zenimax–the parent company to Bethesda and id Software–bought the rights to the franchise when 3D Realms imploded.

It looks like we’ll no longer be waiting, as French gaming magazine Joystick seems to have an exclusive on an announcement for Prey 2. EvilAvatar snagged an image of the cover from the now 404′d gaming site NoFrag. From the image, it seems that Prey 2 will be blue. Or something. Hopefully we can get more official news on this game, as Prey was a pretty good franchise with a non-traditional hero.
