Dayumn. In preparation for an article over at Kotaku, Luke Plunkett discovered some impressive figures on the world of Achievements. Launched with the Xbox 360 in 2005, Achievements single-handedly changed the way players play their games, forcing many to play through titles they would normally ignore so they could earn some points. According to Plunkett, the average gamerscore is 11,286G, with a universal combined score of 176,802,201,383G, which is certainly higher since the few hours he put his findings up.

The most impressive number? Players have earned 6.3 billion achievements since 2005 (imagine all those “bloops“). Even more, 20 million people sign on every day, and have contributed to 4 billion hours of multiplayer gaming. These numbers are utterly mind-boggling!
